Common Admission Test (CAT) is national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). CAT scores are used for admission to various management courses across the country.
CAT 2017 Notification
Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow will be conducting this year's Common Admission Test (CAT). Professor Neeraj Dwivedi from IIM Lucknow, who specialises in Strategic Management will be the convenor for CAT 2017. IIM Lucknow will be conducting the CAT after a span of seven years. The last two CATs were conducted by IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore. Last year, allegations of paper leak had surfaced after the CAT 2016 examination and this year IIM Lucknow would like to avoid such a situation.
The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct computer based common admission test (CAT) 2017 on 26th November 2017 in two sessions. Aspirants can start applying from 9th August 2017 and last date of applying form is 20th September 2017 (5:00 pm). Admit card of the exam will be available on 18th October to 26th November 2017.
ELIGIBILITY
Candidates require minimum 50% aggregate mark in graduation in any discipline from a recognized institute. The candidates from SC, ST, OBC and DA category need an aggregate of 45% marks. Final year graduation students can also apply provided they can submit the graduation final marks to the institutes within the requisite schedule.
Common Entrance Test or CAT analyses the skills of the aspirant in four sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Logical & Analytical Reasoning and Data Interpretation. It is also a test of time management.
